The first teaser trailer for Toy Story 5 appeared recently, offering a glimpse into the storyline but keeping viewers wondering how it will resolve the ending of Toy Story 4. Bonnie's New Toy: A Frog-Shaped Tablet Spooks the Gang In the teaser reveals the young girl — who inherited Andy's toys when he left for college — getting a latest toy, one that alarms Woody, Buzz, and the crew. Bonnie gets her initial digital gadget, and she is thrilled about it. Presumably, the amphibian-inspired device will animate just like the rest of her playthings. Still, the toys seem to view it as a danger intending to supplant them, which it probably is. The Cowboy's Comeback: Unanswered Questions from Toy Story 4 An element the trailer avoids is why the sheriff is returned with his companions in the child's bedroom. The end of Toy Story 4 depicted him embark on a new adventure with the shepherdess (the actress), traveling with a carnival and helping giveaway items find good homes. Surely, the filmmakers will explain the consequences of Toy Story 4 in the movie. Witnessing him appear in Bonnie's room unexpectedly is somewhat puzzling, though. It also makes us wonder whether his partner will have returned with Woody. And what about the stuntman toy (Keanu Reeves)? Continuity from the Last Installment At the very least, some elements are continuing from the earlier movie. The final act Woody did before departing for his new life was hand over his symbol of authority to Jessie (Joan Cusack), leaving her in charge of the toy domain.
