Cars in Germany's City Discovered Smeared with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Authorities mentioned they were notified by a resident who found a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored liquid

Roughly 50 cars have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Automobiles, exterior walls and mailboxes were defaced, in some cases with swastikas, they stated in a release.

Police say they were alerted late on Wednesday, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish liquid.

The liquid had been applied in the pattern of a swastika, they stated.

Law enforcement then located numerous other smeared vehicles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Officials say initial examinations show the substance was probably human blood.

"Currently there is no clue as to where it came from; officials are presently not aware of any harm in association with the incident," they commented.

Municipal representatives said they were attempting "to solve the case" and have asked to the public for details.

A senior representative said the incident rendered him stunned and had to be resolved promptly.

"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the trauma of the far-right terrorist attack five years ago," he wrote on a platform, mentioning the killing of nine people by a assailant focusing on people of immigrant origin in five years prior.
